The Minimal Context Gap Training (MACGT) is for Overseas Electricians who currently have an Offshore Training Skills Record and are seeking to become an unrestricted fully qualified electrician. The gap training course consist of 15 classes over 3 weeks which covers the core E-oz units below which will go towards the 10145 NAT Course in Electrician - Minimum Australian Context Gap Training and the UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician qualification from the UEE11 Training Package.
A UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) qualification will then allow you to apply for an Unrestricted Electrical License.

Apply Australian Earthing Systems and requirements
Select and arrange equipment for Australian single and three phase LV installations
Conduct Electrical installation, testing and verification
Verify compliance and functionality of general Australian electrical installations
Note: One of these are compulsory
Find and rectify faults in Australian energy supply network equipment
Lay and connect for multiple access to Australian telecommunications services
Select and arrange equipment for special electrical installations
Develop, enter and verify programs for PLC's using ladder construction set
Safety footwear, long pants, and long shirts must be worn at all times in PEER.

Applicants are required to obtain the following resources prior to course commencement.
- AS/NZS 3000 (latest edition)
- AS/NZS 3008 (latest edition)
- SAPN Service Rules (latest edition)
- Pens (Black, blue, red, green)
On successful completion of this course, the participant will be awarded with a 10145 NAT Course in Electrician - Minimum Australian Context Gap Training qualification (MACGT).
The participant will also be awarded the UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) qualification upon successful completion if they elected to complete both components at the enrolment stage.
Applicants wishing to gain the full UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician will be required to meet the 140 points of elective unit requirements which vary from learner to learner and will be identified when the OTSR is reviewed.
Entry for this course is strictly limited to holders of an Offshore Technical Skills Record (OTSR)
